When used uncapitalized (jeep), it can be referred to any automobile

(Jeep), it is an automobile marque that belongs to Chrysler. Jeep
is actually an SUV, and it is the oldest one. How did the word jeep

some who believe that the term came from GP or 'general purpose',

Then there is another theory that says that the term comes from Ford's
